The more I see of this guy, the less I want it. It isn't a bad design perse, but between it and the Mirage Fox, it seems like these kits have a trend of cool bladed weapons, and then clumsily tacked on armor that doesn't quite blend with the original design.

True; but other "new" kits have only been color swaps. In fact, just about all of the NJR LTDs (Firefox, BDS, ST, etc.) At least this would be a color swap with some bonus parts.  |

/nods Because it's BLUE! With a sword! It actually fits a bit more with the Genesis line in that. Personally, I don't find it at all bad... just a Geno (which doesn't look bad in blue/silver) with a couple of melee combat bits (which, while nothing to write home about, also don't look bad). No love for Ritter?  |

Well then its a good think that they're optional They finally uploaded the Ritter video. youtu.be/-aRQckzNUzMI'm actually liking this video more than others. The fight's still one-sided, but at least it isn't a boring curb-stomp fight that shows off the zoid. You really get a feel for not only the skills, but the personalities of the pilots as well. And with that, I like this zoid just a little bit more. |

Well then its a good think that they're optional yeah that's fair enough, I never used the weird visor on my Soul Tiger but I kept the huge claws even if they are probably ungainly |

What's with the swords? Mirage fox don't seem to ahve any ranged weapons either. While that works in Genesis, it still only works in there against Bio-zoids...

Very cultural design influence; swords tend to trump guns in anime! Still, the Ritter has that nasty little breath cannon if it needs it!
