Meet King Pteras: Missiles in the legs: Secondary configuration: Taking off: Zooming along (Thats why it is blurry hehe), those aren't just ears there: At ease: Whats this: The King finds his next upgrade... Things to come: I wonder what his name shall be? The horn should give that away: Just finished the Pteras & now going to add those pieces soon. They are from a scrap Evac Energon Transformer. The tail & the two turbine/missile launchers. Still needs a little work on the blue spots showing. The other guy, well he still needs some paint... I'll post more on him as it happens. Thanks for the comments they really make me want to do more. Let me know what you think about the new pics. Regards Alpha.

I can just imagine trying to fight something like that... every time it fires, it tumbles like a thing that tumbles in the air but stays aloft.. but meanwhile it's this little floating target and you cant get a lock on it.. I just love seeing that much armament on a little guy

Wow....can he still flying? And like Snowflake said, what happen when he fire the cannon?
The paint job is nice and something on it's back is a nice idea, just CP-04 will feel too much for it.

I seriously love this custom job. Perhaps in real life, it's physically questionable, but in a world of giant robot animals, your King Pteras looks like it would fit right in, and blow the ass off of anyone who says otherwise, lol. Great work integrating the zoid's new arsenal so that it looks like it fits perfectly, and the weathering on the paint job is really nicely done to give the impression of a zoid that's seen action and survived, time and time again.

That looks great! Love the arsenal and the metallics. If that's your first custom it's an awesome one.

That's a ~first~ custom? Wow; I'd love to see how you'd go with future ones!
Regarding arsenal/weight issues, maybe an Organoid system was fitted onto the core à la Gojulas the Ogre to improve its performance (as a result, the name would be even more appropriate, right?).

The metallics actually remind me of some of the original Zoid kitbash box photos. I love that era.

actually it would be interesting if the magnessers could be reversed... holding it tightly to the ground to fire, then reverting to usual form, making an abnormally portable turret-zoid

Well his new upgrades should help to stabilize him when firing.
Rotors for vertical control & Vtol capabilities.
The turbine boosters for extreme speed & counter thrust against the power of the beam cannons. These also make space a short step for the king. He is the SR-71 of the Pteras type zoids.
Only problem is the beam cannons must be fire at 50% capacity as the other 50% of the energy is needed to equal out the blast.
The beam cannon can be fired at 100% however this will send KP flying out of control. Only to be fired in orbit.
I like the idea that he fused with an organoid, the mysterious golden organoid.
I should make a detailed bio for him when I get time.
Regards Alpha.

Coming from the man who gave us the EZ-501 Fusillade, that is a true compliment thanks.
I will make a new thread for the Godos, still not sure on a name for him yet.
I'll get those pics up soon.
Regards Alpha.
