Wolves, look at the top. They are listed as Plastic in the category. Don't know for sure though.
Category Plastic > Kotobukiya products (Plastic) > Zoids

They're just in the plastic models category because the Zoids are. The actual description says "Material: Silver (oxidized)", which Google tells me means they're silver treated to get that aged/liney look. For that price they'd better be proper silver and not plated, though I think it'd mention that?
If I wore jewelry (and it'd fit me) I'd have been tempted when the Shield Liger one was in stock. Expensive, though D:.

I hadn't thought of that, I'm pretty sure you're right. Steel doesn't just get poured into molds does it? It's more often stamped, or forged if you're lucky
