Rev Raptor is nice! When I was young, I remember a lot of boys wanting Gilvader. Ice Blazer's very unique!

Liger Zero...

Since the Gilvader's already been talked about and I am sure someone's going to bring up the King Gojulas, I would like to put my two cents worth in for the Descat. That zoid was way more powerful than you would expect for its size and had some really impressive molding for its time.

Konig Wolf, for sure. I try to collect anything that contains them but most of what I have left to get are very rare and expensive (including chromies, dvds, and later colosseum cards.) Here's my collection so far, minus a couple items (such as Zoids Book 2002) that were obtained afterwards. As to why, it was just love at first sight, I guess! I saw this Zoid when I was looking up Command Wolves on Ebay, and was hit by an instant what is that beauty impression. I love the design and well balanced (after CPs) combat style. That and their pesky attitude in comic medias.

Konig is really a fine kit; I would love to see an HMM version.
For myself, I still love the Ultrasaurus... not only does it carry the massive weight of nostalgia, it is one of the best designed kits from the standpoint of mechanics, details, and features. Truly a piece of art.

HMM König Wolf.. now that would hilarious. It's already a kit that falls apart if you look at it and sheds parts when it gets nervous

I've never had much problem with my Konigs...aside from the common issue of the rubber belts getting worn and snapping. I second the notion that it would benefit greatly from the Koto treatment;)
As for favorite Zoid, I will always be most partial to the Geno family, myself.

Gonna pick this thread back up again.
There is nothing that gets me more hyped for Zoids than a good camera angle on a Blade Liger. Call me simple, but goddamn does that Zoid look cool.
Mirage Fox is a close second.

Deathraser is one of the most under appreciated designs bar none. That kit has style, menace, a CAS, and fusion to a very respectable dragon. Picking a favorite Zoid is difficult because I have different favorites for different categories. If I had to select ONE, it would be Ultrasaurus. Not just because it is one huge machine, but because of the premise of it (an all in one mobile strike base), how well it was executed (artillery stations, communication stations, air wing/hangar/tower facilities), how much detail is in every part of the kit (there are even maintenance dome lights over the crawlspace catwalks under the legs and small hatches with handles around the engine compartment!). All of that and the model stays quite true to the form of the brachiosaurus on which it is based. If only all kits had that attention to detail! I really love my OJR Ultrasaurus. It's the only one I need for my crew, and the parts are as you said SO useful in customs.

Lol came to answer this thread and it happens to have been made by me...8yrs ago :0 In between then & now, my collection ballooned to around 240 pieces. Many came and went unbuilt. Currently down to about 30 in all, built & unbuilt. Oddly however, I have yet to build an HMM (will eventually do the clear zero I have) & debating an HMM Sturm. After all of the building and dealing with folks here, my favorite piece is the KFM Berserk Fury. I have this exact piece in my forever collection: theironbible.com/ZoidsActionFigures/KFM/BerserkFury.php

The Genesis ligers aren't really my thing, but for stylish flashy Zoids the Hayate is pretty sweet. wolves-- amazing that you started this thread that long ago. A real time capsule here!

Gun Sniper, for sure, but the NBZs have a special place in my heart.

My favorite has alway been Gungyrados, one of the many spellings there of! I even have an awesome idea for a cartoon called 'The last gungyrados'. I've had the 1st season plotted out in my head for almost 2 decades. Sadly I'm not much of an artist or I would have given it a go.
