To be fair, they scaled it UP for the show, not down for the model.. and it is pretty honking big

I ended up buying three Elephanders so I could have all three configurations on display. I have to admit it is one of my "silent favorites"; a great design with tons of extras. I only didn't like how they kinda dropped a lame tail on it.

I only didn't like how they kinda dropped a lame tail on it. i actually took the guns from my genobreaker (the twin pul;se cannons from the saurer) and placed them on the back of my elephander, then i took the gun from the underbelly (since the peg broke XP) and placed that on the tail. it actually looks alot better then i thought. it works better in real life since the nose would get in the way if under the belly.

I ended up buying three Elephanders so I could have all three configurations on display. Only three? If you watch the anime (and look at the Hasbro Box) there is a slight difference with the head/ear and trunk configuration. Add the CP-15 and you have more. I would say one needs at least 6 of these. One day I will create the ultimate Elephander and have nearly all the spare parts connected.

While mixing and matching the parts is part of the fun, I'm pretty sure that officially, the Elephander is designated as having three modes, Assualt, Command, and Scout.

Yeps. If you want to start adding CPs as "official variants", well, you can pretty much take the number of CP kits out there and multiply it by those three, so you are talking more like 600 "official" mods. I can't afford 600 Elephanders!

Who the hell sends an Elephant forward as a "Scout?" Anyone not see the elephant in the room here? Terrible pun... just terrible...

It's kinda sad the only non-combat zoids are communications or rarely construction.. there's so many other things you could do with giant machines!

Don't forget transport. Gustavs, Whale Kings, Hover Cargos, and Dragoon Nests. They also double as C2 platforms (Command and Control) vice strictly transport. The Ultrasaurus or Seismo whatever it's called is also a Transport/C2 platform.

Speaking of building accomplishments, I finally have my NAR Ultra fully operational, though he's more like a cross between an NJR and an NAR. Pics once I finish stickering him!

Love Ultras... probably one of my favorite designs of all time. Very accurate body, great mechanics, very good use of mass, and really military looking.

My newest accomplishment is buying a box full of parts on ebay. Not exactly knowing what was in it. And trying to figure out who the parts belong to. I finally have my first manuals.... None of them are complete. But the ones I could assemble are a sledge head, command wolf irvine and a shadow fox. Could replace a shield liger's tail. Mine was snapped. I'll be posting the spare parts in the parts section. So maybe we can help eachother with some parts. Does anybody know who a blue pilot lying on it's belly belong to?
Alltogether a nice lot. Paid a bit more then I would have liked. My bad. Finally have something to trade with...

Blue pilot on his belly... I had a Zabat that came with one. Congrats on the lot!

A shield liger tail is one of the easiest things to replace, since every blade liger comes with a spare!
