I think part of the appeal of many customs is how they can be made to look dramatically different... it's very hard to do this with an Iron Kong. However, if you've seen Rayse' Cranium, you can see there is a lot of room to play with (if you have the money and parts!):

There are actually a good number of Custom Kongs in the world. Several on this site alone.
