That's the first Gojulas I've ever really wanted... of course it has to be the most expensive.. sigh..

I'm a fan of the Mariner; the colors are bold and yet they work exceptionally well with the Zoid. I would love to add one to my collection... or get the HMM edition. Very nice grab!

Ok - I'll confess I really don't like the Mariner - seems like I'm pretty alone on this board. The blue & copper combo just doesn't look right to me. Forest Gojulas comes close for bad colour schemes, but at least you can pretend the Jolly Green Giant has camoflage properties. What can you say about blue & copper ?
I like Mk2 white, Ogre tan and holotec, but my personal favourite is the custom Type-B green Gojulas with CAS/CP. Even the basic design is pretty awesome, especially when you consider how old it is. And I loved the arrogant personality they gave Zoidzilla in the UK comics.
So everyone should own a Gojulas ... just not THAT Gojulas.

I'll admit I liked it more when I thought it was orange than copper, but keep in mind that blue is just a few shades less-green than oxidized copper, giving it an old-statue look.. and that suits Gojulas

And monster is very delicious. About as much caffeine as coffee, but it tastes a lot better! And as much sugar as a cup of coffee with 6 and a half teaspoons of sugar in it. How could that possibly be bad for one?

Isn't Por Loco the alcoholic energy drink that was pulled from shelves (at least in Washington State) for targeting the pre-21 drinking crowd? Seem to recall a newscast about that.....
WHICH is not really on the subject of Gojulas Mariner, that really would look deadly cool detail painted, panel lined, and all kick-arsey!

Today we have a small zoid that is quite deadly at a distance... Snipe Master! The specific edition I have is the Dino Expo Bone Sniper, which I think is an awesome recolor. Building this guy caused some issues, however. The sniper stand that is on the end of his tail was very frail and flimsy, and in removing it from the sprue I managed to snap the thing in half. Luckily, it doesn't effect the rest of the build, and later I was able to apply super glue and put the thing back together and have a complete Snipe Master. Aside from that small issue though, it is a relatively easy build that will take probably about fifteen minutes. Here's a good picture of the part that I was talking about, although I managed to focus on a pen that strangely enough looks like it is coming out of the tail itself. Sniper Master comes with two pilots actually, which is strange because its such a small zoid, but it does make sense if you think about it. The pilot in the cockpit controls the zoids movement, and the pilot positioned in the back of the zoid is purely a sniper. This makes Snipe Master a dangerous zoid, in my opinion. THere you have it, adamassc . A sniper zoid!

Ah, the Snipe Master Bone. This and BU are kits I have yet to build, out of fear of damaging them. It is interesting to me that you mention flimsiness in the bipod. I've had no trouble with any of mine, but I've not assembled any of my Ltds.

That bipod always bothers me.. it already has a bipod! the legs! We've never seen a SM squat down low enough to the ground to use that bipod.. not even sure if it could.. Experienced snipers would have to tell me whether there's any ramifications to having the gunner positioned a meter above the gun, and the scope a meter above -that- I mean, you'd have to make some significant corrections I guess it's just how awesome and realistic SM is that realism bugs me more for it than for others

As for the scope, the height is necessary to compensate for the angle of the tail and the distance the round is expected to travel.

This^
Snipe Master...so simple, yet so awesome! And the Dino Expo variant is my favorite of the three.

The design is very cool, though I never quite understood the logic of an agile raptor with big claws hiding miles away shoot at a target. You can see how it is very much a sleeker upgrade of the Gun Sniper design, but I prefer GS's big canopy with bunny ears to SM's single crest with eyeballs.
Its a shame that a lot of the details are obscured by the use of big pieces, with the limbs, neck and tail all being big blocks of a single colour. Ideally, they should have made the Zoid's body one colour, with the armour on the head, neck, thighs and tail another colour, but I guess you cannot have too many parts on an entry level toy. It would look awesome re-painted with a gun metal base and camo'ed armour ...
