Rules:
1: All work must be for this contest.
a: The only exception is if you strip down a custom down to its base, stock (i.e. unmodified) chassis, you may reuse that chassis.
b: If you will be doing this ASK before entering for a go/no go. If you don’t ask before hand and I say no after you’ve made it…, sucks to be you.
2: No voting for yourself.
3: Only those registered by March 20th at Midnight, EST may vote/participate.
4: Only vote from one account (if you have multiple).
5: Majority of build must be from a Zoid kit
a: Exception for Open category scratchbuilding.
6: Only one entry per category. However, you may enter all categories, one category, or a combination thereof.
Categories:
Limited:
1: Can only use windups/blox/neoblox/unmotorized (read: Demantis, NOT HMM).
2: May scratch build minor components, such as a modest sized/simple weapon.
3: Scratch building a head/limb/or body are not allowed. If you have a question if any scratch built part would be allowed, ASK.
Open:
1: No restriction. Anything from Demantis to King Gojulas, Blox to HMM, to scratch building.
Creative:
1: Anything that is not a model of some type. It can be fiction, artwork, an interpretive dance, or some combination of the above.
2: It may tie in with an entry in the Limited or Open category, but can not involve pictures of said model.
3: For the purposes of this contest and to keep from blurring the lines between Creative and the other two categories, dioramas and sculptures are not allowed.
4: Entry should be suitable for the forum (read: nothing explicit)
Timeline:
Contest starts March 20th at Midnight, EST
Contest ends May 20th at Midnight, EST
Voting starts May 24th at Midnight, EST
Voting ends June 4th at Midnight, EST
Submission:
1: Submit entries to colodie@gmail.com. If you don't get a response from me that I received it, then I did not receive it. However, give me 48 hours to respond as I kinda work an odd schedule...
2: You may submit up to three 800x640 images for your custom entry, preferable a .jpg or .png. For the creative entry, submit what you have. If it is a large size or not text or image (i.e. video) let me know before you send it.
3: Submissions may be sent anytime between now and the end of the contest. Once sent however you can not change anything.
4: Please send your user id.
Voting:
1: Every member may cast a maximum of 3 votes; 1 for best Limited, 1 for best Open, 1 for best Creative.
2: Send your vote with your user name, along with your vote for best Creative, Limited, and Open. Send it to colodie@gmail.com If I don't reply that I received it, I didn't get it. If you have problems with email, send it via PM.
Winning:
1: Whoever gains the most votes in a category wins a prize.
2: Open winner picks a prize first, followed by the Limited then Creative winner.
3: If a member wins multiple categories, they shall be considered the winner of the category with the first pick (See #2 above), whereas the winner in the second category will receive a prize.
4: If someone wins two of the categories, in addition to picking a prize for the respective category, they may pick a bonus prize.
5: If someone wins all three categories, they may pick both bonus prizes.
Prizes:
1: Prizes are a HMM Iron Kong, HMM Red Horn, and HMM Gun Sniper Naomi.
2: Bonus prizes are a HMM Great Sabre and a HMM Lightning Saix.
Grand Prix:
1: After contest voting is accomplished, determination of who will go on to the Grand Prix will be done by voting. Voting time will be determined later.
2: If you had a Creative entry applicable to a Limited or Open entry, they will be combined.
3: The top three Limited and top three Open entries will be eligible for Grand Prix voting. The top three from this group will move on.
