Anime doesn't necessarily mean models, mind. You get weird like...was it Funimation?...releasing subbed Digimon 02 episodes web-only these days, and that series is older than Genesis. It wouldn't surprise me if this ends up being a thing like that. Still would be nice to see a more widely available dub.

Since 'cheesy action figures' describes half of the Genesis toyline, maybe they'll have better luck selling them this time, lol Oh? Which half? ;p Even the Bio Zoids need to be put together.

Please, the "Rescue Heroes" playset is harder to assemble than those things

I think we are getting off topic here, what I posted earlier was in regards to the motivation for releasing Genesis dubbed in the North American market. Who will be willing to pay for the cost to transfer the rights and dubbing, I mean one way to make money is to sell show-related merchandise; but how many here remember the clearance shelves that the Zoids kits occupied at your local toy store?
Remember Gundam kits (after Gundam Wing) weren't even selling well in the US, and we had action figures that came in to fill in the gap for LAZY kids that want instant gratification. And Gundam isn't what it used to be (in North America), even with the high quality storyline of Gundam 00.
And I checked the latest Lego sets, now they are promoting module building process, where one bag has the pieces for one module, and you combine the separate module together to finish the set.
So in short, what will be the motivation for releasing dubbed Zoids anime in the North American market, if it is just the anime itself?

I beg to differ. Rather, we are merely circling the topic, as a shark would before the kill. Or, the way a dead pet might the toilet drain as they are being flushed. Your choice of analogies.
My reasoning is that for the most part, the Hasbro figures were uninspired and like many of us, the younger customers also preferred the more standard assembly kits. However, the most desired models such as Liger Zero and Berserk Fury can be reasonably difficult and intimidating to some of the target audience, discouraging them from making the actual purchase. Thus, we have a target audience who does not like the cheap, easy stuff, but also cannot handle the premium goods. Bad for sales.
As undesirable as they are to some however, Tomy's Genesis line remedies this. The more popular starring zoids come as pre-completed chasis and young fans need only apply the armor, which itself is fairly intuitive. Completing these easier builds acts as both a cognitive and psychological set of training wheels that prepares these kids to take on (and buy) the more advanced kits that we are already used to, which bridges the preference gap.
EDIT: Yes, I am aware that sales of Genesis toys were less than stellar, but keep in mind that given the cultural differences between Japan and the rest of the world (more specifically, the development rate of children), the toy line may actually do well on foreign shores.

This is assuming they want to sell the models with the anime...or that the anime is even being aired on TV mass-distributed-style, rather than just dumped on a streaming thing to make a few quick bucks off the attached advertising. The popularity of such distribution is growing, and it's really easy to do. And it'd be better than the dumped on cable channels at weird times treatment the other anime got in the UK D:.

Tomy has hordes of unsold Genesis merchandise sitting around. It can either let them continue to gather dust, or it can take a shot and stand to make back some of it's investment, minus the cost of shipping and repackaging.

So, if we use my tax id number, we can have one motherload of an import of Genesis model kits?
How many cases of Hayate Liger? Mugen Liger? Lanstag? Hmmmm.
