Gairyuki night. I've been boasting for 6 years that I've been working on a zoid...one that I never finished, one that I wanted to enter in a contest. But 6 years and no progress...'till tonight, when I decided to finish painting it. I just...never found time. Yes, it is I, Fluffy therizinosaurus...even though it says I've only posted twice...but I'm back after a long hiatus. While my Gairyuki Night is not complete, he is being repainted at the moment. These are the results of tonight's drunken work: Yes that is my arm. Without my arm XD Rear view. I saw a buncha pics on 2005 of a shiny black gairyuki with a silver underneath. While the pics suck, you can tell that is what I'm going for, except that this Gairyuki will be different than that one. Just with the same color scheme. He will posess Genobreaker shields (Not G-breakers, but of my own design) with claws, and side mounted mini weapons + RCPC. The shield design isn't complete, but I finally found a shield shape that I like, and eventually I will add them. Let's just say that Bionicles are very useful toys at the moment. Enjoy the pics, I will ask my friend for his camera, which takes better pictures. Yes, I am drunk.

The armor itself will not be modified (it's a Gairyuki...I'd need extra gairyuki pieces to experiment, etc, y'know to have a backup), so it's basically gonna be like the Genobreaker, Genosaurer parts being unmodified, but having a backpack with claws, etc. Also, one of the concepts I made for this zoid was to give it LEDs on the translucent parts, and somehow attach that to the mods I'm making for its backpack, but that isn't gonna be easy. I think I'll have to track two more Gairyukis. One other so he can be the final product, and another just to actually HAVE a normal blue Gairyuki...
Anyone know where I can get one, other than Ebay?
PS. Yes, I was drunk. A little more than drunk, I'd say. I had been spraypainting in a closed space, had some vicodin+benadryl, plus half a bottle of Port. Makes me really creative. Don't do this at home, kids.

I had been spraypainting in a closed space, had some vicodin+benadryl, plus half a bottle of Port. Cripes, man, that sounds dangerous. Anyway, the custom. I like the idea of black and silver with the orange paneling, particularly if you manage to get the LEDs in there like you're planning. The backpack weapon sounds interesting, too. Looking forward to seeing how this turns out, if you get back to it.

Vicodin + booze is indeed something I'd avoid D:. (Opiates + alcohol is a bad idea in general, hypothetical-kids-reading-this.) I, too, am intrigued by this color combination, which is a bit like that Jet Black limited Gairyuuki done in a more eye-catching fashion. I know I've seen LEDs wired in a Gairyuuki somewhere, so it's possible...take progress pics if you do!

The LEDs are going to be hard to mount, which is why I need ...backup. Zoids are expensive, and I'm broke (My job is...tutor for hire thru the SSS at the uni, and no one ever comes in) During the moving process I lost most of my paints (dark reds mostly, which is what this was going to be done in originally)...hell, parts are expensive. So...this is going to go really slowly, unfortunately.

Here we go. I found my old ID and no progress still. I think I'm gonna have to make it from scratch. Y'know, the CAS and stuff. What should I do to it? And can someone delete my Dinobot ID? I'll use this one from now on. OKOK. I need...something...better than Nuparu's arm and shield. Like my initial idea was to have a Tie Adv. Wing's with a bionicle arm (a fully moveable one with scratch armor) with like cannons and guns inside, but I'm having trouble finding those kinds of model kits and Nuparu's shield here seems like a good alternative, just...painted shiny black and with some weapons within. Like...What can I do to it? My goal is to give it a genobreaker look but with more movable arms with 360 rotation on both 'shoulder' and 'elbow' And how do I make the shields better looking? I wanna get some clear plastic, sharpie it with orange to make it trans-orange and somehow glue those on to make it like an extension of its ray shields.

That's a great idea! Maybe use some leftover clear sprue pieces to fill in the holes (better if they don't quite fit through, rest them on top and glue them in) you could even use gairyuki's orange sprue pieces
