Quick note: i didnt actually type these. I found them on "Karl Schubaltz"'s blog on his "myspace" and i thought they were pretty gnarly. This is like a 3 part story so its pretty long and im not sure how much i will be able to fit if i C&P but here it is.

PART ONE: Report on Imperial Stolen Goods.
Early this morning, I received news that one of our transporter Whale Kings carrying weapons, ammunition, and multiple different Sleeper Zoids, was shot down last night. Apparently the attackers boarded the wreckage and rendered the crew unconscious via gas. By the time they woke up, all the cargo with exception of a few sleepers had been stolen. By the time my unit and I arrived to investigate, we noticed hardly any damage from weapon fire on the Whale King. The only major damage was to the engines which easily knocked it out of the sky and kept it grounded just long enough for a raid party to enter and clear it out. As to how the raiders transported the cargo out is still being deliberated by our investigations teams. We had noticed tracks of what seemed to be as many as 3-5 Gustav tracks which we followed for about a half mile before they disappeared all at the same area in the middle of the desert. We have concluded that they must have buried them. The Gustavs couldn't have been the only Zoids involved, the raiders definitely had heavier equipment with them, but were some how able to not leave tracks. They most likely had stealth Zoids like the Helcat which can virtually cover it's own tracks and easily avoid detection. If they did use Helcats, then they must have been equipped with heavy long range AA cannons in order to effectively shoot down such a large airborne Zoids like a Whale King. Although most of this is all assumption and speculation, the situation is still being analyzed by our experts and officials back in Guygalos. Ive personally requested assistance from Lieutenant Schubaltz(my younger brother Thomas) of the Guardian Force to aid in locating the stolen components and discovering the identity of these thieves and their motives for such an act. Of course this will not be an easy task seeing as of now, we have no official leads, not to mention it is obvious that who ever is behind all of this, knows what they are doing and has the hardware to get it done. Official forensic and military reports are still being filed and checked, so an official explanation is still yet to come, as well as retaliatory action and recovery of the stolen goods. I will continue to report on this incident as I receive more information on it.
PART TWO: Intel
Following the event of a well organized group of bandits or possibly terrorists shooting down an Imperial transport Whale King and looting the supplies that it was carrying. A day or two after the initial report was filed, we notified Colonel Hermann of the Republican Army and he assisted us in the search for the alleged terrorists. Convinced that similar incidents could occur within the boarders of the Republic, he agreed to begin a series of reconnaissance sweeps near where the raid took place. Despite inconclusive reports from Lieutenant Schubaltz's Beek scans, we managed to get lucky.
A day or two later, a Republican reconnaissance Pteras reported sighting a suspicious hover cargo transport being trailed by two Gustavs that were carting a number of Helcats across the desert. The transports were tracked to the ruins of an old abandoned Imperial base dug into the side of a plateau. Seeing as this was more than likely the base of operations of the terrorists we were looking for, I ordered an espionage team to infiltrate their base and confirm the presence of the stolen weapons, ammunition, and sleeper Zoids that they had stolen.
The espionage mission lasted only a few hours and our agents had successfully confirmed the supplies in question and accomplished their mission. Although the stolen Imperial goods weren't the only items in that base. The terrorists did in fact have well armed Helcats as well as other salvaged Zoids from both the Empire and the Republic. This group has obviously had time to stock up on their equipment and have become more poweful as of late. If they're capable of successfully taking down a Whale King and flawlessly raiding it, who knows what else they're capable of.
Now a desert band of thugs that raid small scale shipments with salvaged Zoids isn't exactly enough to be considered a terrorist organization or even a real threat to national security, but this group has obviously gathered enough strength from minor raids to be capable of attacking much larger targets and if they aren't stopped now they could quite easily become a threat to both the Empire and the Republic.
Permission has been granted from both the Emperor and the President of the Republic to launch a combined assault on the enemy's HQ and wipe them out before they become a major problem. A medium sized force of both Imperial and Republican Zoids is to be led by both Colonel Hermann and myself, and is to be organized within the next 24 hours. As for the offensive its self, it is scheduled for either tomorrow or the next day depending on weather conditions and enemy movements.
As stated by Colonel Hermann, "For the good of both of our nations... It is best to deal with a pest problem before it becomes an infestation." I couldn't agree more.
PART THREE: Task Force One And The Assault
After a few delays, we managed to collaborate and pull together our troops. This was a joint operation between the Guylos Empire and the Republic of Helic. Our combined unit was named Task Force One.
Task Force One was much smaller than I had originally planned. Instead of bringing multiple medium and light Zoids onto the field, Colonel Hermann insisted that he deploy a small Gojulas unit. Knowing first hand what a single Gojulas is capable of, I reluctantly agreed. Although just a few Gojulases can't spearhead an assault by themselves, especially with such uncertainty of the enemies numbers and capabilites. The Gojulases weren't the only Zoids in Task Force One. About three dozen Republican Cannon Tortoises were positioned well behind the main force, they were to fire the opening shots of the sortie. Along side the long range artillery bombardment, we had our very own Eisenbeck unit, using upgraded black Reddlers to drop deep penetrating bombs to damage the inside of the base as well as the hangars to prevent them from deploying the bulk of their assault Zoids.
In total, Task Force One was made up of the Gojulas unit which took point in front. Close behind them were the Molga, Shield Liger, Godos and Rev Raptor units. As for Hermann and I, we were behind the main force, but still in front of the artillery line of the Cannon Tortoises. I was in my Iron Kong MkII and Colonel Hermann was in a commander's Gordos which was equipped with advanced communications and sensory equipment which made it easier for him to give orders and maintain situational awareness.
Not long after we assembled at the AO(area of operations) Hermann issued the order for the artillery to commence firing. When the Cannon Tortoises began firing, it was one of the loudest things I had heard since the firing of the Gravity Cannon! Not long after the bombardment had begun, I called in the Eisenbeck unit and they began dropping their ordinance right on to the base. The bombardment lasted a good six or seven minutes before Hermann ordered them to cease fire and fall back as the rest of Task Force One moved in on the base. However, the advance on the base was completely unchallenged and we met no resistance. I actually began to think we had wiped them out with just the preliminary strikes alone. But I guess I had spoken too soon because seconds later I saw a few dozen anti-Zoid missile batteries pop up from the base, aim and fire a barrage of missiles right at us! Many of the AZMs slammed right into one of the Gojulases that were in front, knocking it on to its side. I heard the pilot report a command system freeze. We then had only two operational Gojulases and those two returned fire with their massive "supercannons" and destroyed much of the AZM batteries in a matter of seconds. Almost immediately following the destruction of the AZMs, I noticed multiple blips appear on my radar all at once. The enemy had mobilized a large battalion of sleeper Guysaks which were concealed under the sand. And to make matters worse, dozens of these ground rolling torpedo like bombs were deployed from enemy base and rushed straight toward our line! The sleepers broke off into two groups and attacked our side flanks while those torpedos sped right up the middle inflicting minor damage on a Gojulas, and many of our supporting units. Fortunately most of the torpedos were gunned down before they did any real damage. I thought we had taken them all out but I was dead wrong. One torpedo was still moving fast and it was headed straight toward Hermann's Gordos! It rushed right through the smoke of the explosions and I couldn't see it till it was nearly too late! I had very little time to react and not even thinking, I leaped out in front of the Gordos, grabbed the torpedo, threw it into the air, shot it once with my beam cannon and it exploded. "I owe you big time for that one Schubaltz", said Hermann over the radio. "Don't worry about it, lets just hurry and finish this", I replied. Seeing as the wave of those ground torpedos had been destroyed without much ill effect on our forces. I ordered the Rev Raptors to move in on the rapidly encroaching Guysak sleepers. Hermann ordered the remaining Gojulases to continue advancing and provide covering fire. I swear I saw a Gojulas take out at least ten or more Guysaks in one shot... Fairly impressive.
After roughly five minutes of fighting off the remaining sleepers, we saw a pretty large explosion come out of the side of the of plateau. Hermann said they must have blasted open one of their hangars that we damaged during the bombing. He was right too. I could see multiple different Zoids come charging out of hangar. Many of them were damaged, but still moving and firing in our direction. Colonel Hermann and I both ordered a counter attack. The line of Shield Ligers powered up their E-shields and began to move in and plowed right threw them. Closely following, were the Molga, Godos and Rev Raptor units, which eventually surrounded the enemies' scattered Zoids and locked them in as the Gojulas unit annihilated all but a few stragglers. One of those stragglers was piloting an already damaged Zaber Fang and he charged straight toward me. Of course this poor fool's gun fire did very little damage to the thick armor of my Iron Kong and just as I was targeting him with my high power beam cannon, I heard Hermann say, "Allow me to return the favor Colonel." and right after he said that, I saw a very well placed round fired from his Gordos's 105mm rail gun, rip straight through the Zaber's cockpit. The Zaber came crashing down right at the feet of my Iron Kong. I simply replied "...Nice shot Colonel."
Our forces made short work of theirs, and we took very light casualties compared to the enemy. We had evidently won the battle and I called in some of our combat engineers to secure the base, salvage what they could and gather intel. Just then I saw two Pterases launch out from the hangar and start flying away from the Task Force... It must have been the commanders fleeing like cowards. Unfortunately they were out of our weapons range before we had time to react and the Eisenbeck unit had left the AO to rearm. So we had no way of shooting them down. But just as I had given up hope I heard a very familiar voice come over the radio.... It was the Baron of Wings! I heard and saw the two Storm Sworders come screaming over head as they pursued the enemy commanders. I didn't actually see them bring down the two Pterases but I did see a two explosions off in the distant sky and heard Rosso confirm that they had splashed the two bogeys... I trusted their judgment.
After the battle, we had our engineers secure what was left of the base. Many of the enemies Zoids and personnel had been taken care of by the early bombardments. Some Zoids and components were salvaged but repossession of stolen parts was not our main goal in this mission. Our main goal was to destroy the enemy, which we did. However, we did manage to take one of the group's sub-leaders prisoner, he had some pretty bad wounds but he was alive and capable of telling us what we needed to know. We left him in the hands of the Republic and I'm sure they will have fun with the interrogations. So after hours of clearing rubble and evacuating the wounded and the damaged Zoids, the last of the transport Whale Kings and Hammer Kaisers arrived to bring Hermann, me and the remainder of Task Force One back home for a long night of filing after-action reports and congratulating each other on a successful mission.
On a more personal note, I am very pleased with the work we did and I'm relieved that we didn't lose any soldiers. We eliminated a dangerous terrorist organization and in doing so, we made it a safer place for both the Empire and the Republic. So now I can get some rest and return to my normal peace time duties as a Colonel... at least until the next group of trouble makers try to make a name for themselves, but when they do, I will be ready to stand against them.
