# 08 in the series...this was released along with Sturm Tyrann. As what Pheno said, Raven Raptor is a Guylos Zoid that fought against Sturm Tyrann since the latter's pilot defected to the Neo-Zenebas faction. On the artwork it depicts the zoid landing with the sun behind it.  Out of the box: Aside from a recolored Rev Raptor, it came with a recolored CP-08 Pile Bunker Unit. The caps however are the same as a standard Rev Raptor. Initially I thought Raven Raptor has a black body bit it's actually Dark Navy Blue.   Out of the box:  Stock Raven Raptor:   With its CP-08: My gripe with the CP is that it should be with the same shade with Raven Raptor's body. But stil I find it a bit bland.     vs. my favorite in the series, Sturm Tyrann, personally I don't see Raven Raptor having a slight chance of winning or even denting sturm.  Raven Raptor: Surrender! Sturm: Hah...Are you gonna poke me with that oversized toothpick? Da good: 1. Nice color scheme 2. Comes with a CP-08 Da bad: 1. Pricey for something that's small if you missed out on its release 2. Cp-08's color could have been darker 3. No special logos in the sticker sheet or nor real difference from the standard labels and etc... 4. Prolly the most bland looking among the Yuji Kaida ltds. |

Its kinda cooler than the original Rev Raptor...
But since its pricey, Im not going to buy that Zoid in a million years...

I never realized it before, but the Pile Banker looks so flimsily attached to the thing, you'd think the weight of it would make the RR fall over. :/

Actually, in VS, I can take out anything except the big ones that you can't use physical attacks on with a RR and two pile bunkers...

I totally hate the Rev. It looks kinda clunky and randomly slapped together.
I almost didn't get the Raven raptor, but now I have three ! Somehow, the change in colours totally changes the feel of the Zoid, for me. It has a very subtle, stealth look about it. Not sure how you'd have a stealthy Pile Bunker, but there you go ...

Nice review, Blitz! ST and G Mariner are supposed to be the pinnacles of Yuji Kaidas, but I think Raven Raptor's pretty cool in his own right. He's definitely one of the more underated ones, but I love mine. He IS a little pricey for a wind-up, but I don't regret getting him at all. BTW, am I the only one that thinks the Yuji Kaida box art is almost better than the actual Zoid that comes within?  |

Vishus, ST and Gojulas Mariner are supposedly the pinnacles but only because of size and their box art. But in all respect, the box art for Raven Raptor is damn cool, even better than Fire Fox in some ways. Seeing it leap with the sun shining behind it is kinda nice actually. As for the box art, you're not the only one. I too agree that the box art looks better than the Zoid within. Just like how the box art for Molga Rokurou looks so much better than the actual funky caterpillar.  |

Raven Raptor is how dark color schemes should be done...photos never do it justice. I think the pilebunker clashes, mind, but it looks very nice without it.

The Rev raptor Night Patrol came with a chromed gold cp-08, Wikd. It was a convention exclusive Zoid. Which is a real shame, because they are now almost impossible to find and uber expensive if one does, and I want one......BAD!  And I believe Lionel has one pictured on his site, should you want to check it out. |
