Thanks to Mervin for helping me bag one of the most anticipated zoids in my collection for this year. This is Saber Tiger SCV (Special Color Version) Gold. It also comes with a different color scheme for CP-02.
Here's a pic of the front of the box.
Back part of the box.
It comes with 7 sprues for the Saber Tiger, 3 dark gray sprues, 2 gold sprues, a little yellowish sprue (a little dull compared to the feet of Leostriker), and a sprue of gray rubber caps which are very common gray color like that of other Saber Tigers.
It also comes with a dark gray sprue for the CP-02, two coiled springs, a blue pilot, a translucent green canopy, motor (of course) and the Saber Tiger Manual, a CP-02 manual, and a fan book and other cards with Japanese stuff in it which are commonly seen in other Zoids.
While building this zoid, I noticed some excess thin plastics sticking out of a few parts, it does have bad plastic quality.
Mine has a thick peg for the 3-barreled gun, the gun pops out if you even move it for a bit once it's in the peg, but that could be just easily remedied if you trim the peg. I don't know if this is true for the other Sabers, my Great Sabre does have the same thick peg but the gun won't pop out if it gets moved unlike Goldie. But nonetheless this is just a small negligible thing, just like Blitz told me that it's not unusual to have some slight differences in the kits.
The SCV Gold Saber Tiger also features the unsharpened teeth, like other Saber Tigers in the new line (except for some other releases)
Here comes the built pics!
This one is a must have if you're into Saber Tiger variants. The gold is just awesome.
GOOD:
* Gold is a very nice alternative color for a Saber Tiger
* Has a CP-02 in a very nice color too
BAD:
* Plastic quality
* Blunt teeth
* Pricey
NEUTRAL:
* He's a Saber Tiger, one of the many Zoid icons since OJR times.
Thanks for viewing!
