I replaced laserstorms red pieces with scissorstorms black since their colors are opposite and vice versa but it still just technically laser and scissor models no limited edition here Wow! Those switched parts are nice! They are now much better looking... Even though I'm a Republic maniac collector, the Storm Brothers are actually very nice Zoids...  |

So i'm not the only person who suffers from the Maroon Plastic of Death issue. This Maroon Plastic is also used on Stylu Armor and Deantler along with Seismosaurus. After Getting Tired of this I finally ordered a FZ-022 from toymanilla and happy to report there's no Maroon Plastic issue here. ;D But Great review Chimera Power Unite!

The maroon plastic is weird it has this kind of resistence to it, like normaly the plastic when cut comes right off like smoothly. But the maroon has this weird tendency to get stuck when your cutting causing it to snap in weird places also like mentioned before it's brittle and when it gets stuck to much force is applied then boom "snap".

Storch looks like it has the Maroon plastic Issue I wonder if anyone who has Storch and one of the afore mentioned zoids could compare colors same with Energy Liger EZ

I think its just those few zoids since they were kinda released at around the same time, so maybe storch has the same issue (dont got one so cant tell you not a big fan of OJR zoids) maybe pheno knows.

The plastic issue seems to be a material issue, as it only affected that one color (that I know of.) My guess based on the fracture pattern is too much regrind... scrap plastic from defective parts ground up and dumped back into the press. It could very well be that the red dye caused processing issues (we have that problem with a certain shade of yellow for santoprene here) and they ended up with more scrap than normal and tried to recoup thier losses by running a higher regrind percent. ... But other than that these are great Zoids. I have two of each, plus the two that came with Ultimate Siesmo and I purchaced the gattling-gun frames from Toyman (four of them). One can never have enough gattling guns.  |

My Storch is fine, so's Bonnie's. And my EL too, though it's a slightly different shade to Storch. No idea on the Storms as I only have one Hasbro Laserstorm...do they match either of the two?
