Yum yum, nicely done. The pledge-ing hasn't been completely useless, he looks all sleeky-shiny now.

ok, this is odd! I was trying to part swap my OER zaber and my NAR lemon zaber to make a bumblebee zaber (bwee!) and I found out that the two are not compatible zaber fang's parts do not fit on zaber, they fit too tightly. Ie I tried swapping out the bits on the back legs, the NAR kitty's long leg piece will not fit on OER's hip piece if you understand what i'm saying. The peg is too thick or something.

The first runs of Zoids were done in Japan and later ones were moved to Singapore and Thailand where they were run with different moulds. This resulted in little differences in colour, detailing and hardpoint/joint size. For example, Japanese Gore is dark black and light grey. Singapore Gore is lighter black and a darker grey with little detail changes such as how parts attach, how far the missiles stick out and the alignment of control panel switches in the cockpit. The silver parts are also a different tone and the moulding work on a whole is less crisp. Sticker quality suffers too. Judging from your pics your Zabre is Singaporian whilst your Fang is from Thailand. Hope that explains it for you.

Nice restoration project there. Good job Yurei. It doesn't look like its a restored item. Anyway, it looks like a colour variation on the Great Sabre? Just asking, since GS is very much black, and red for the inner body.

I believe Zabre is older, but either way, it's from the OER and a blue Zoid...thus it's not properly black.

It IS black, but more of a 'faded' black color than my GS's dark, intense black. And the caps are an odd, dark blue. I can try taking pics of the two side by side sometime, after my zaber gets his CP 02 in the mail he so deserves

Yurei, please do. I have a spare Great Sabre still asleep in the box, and if the colours are not too different I "might" just do a Zabre lookalike.. ;D

you wouldn't be a ble to though... even if you found the right color grey for the structure along witht he silver you'd still need to find those really oddball blue caps and a smokey glass cockpit o-o

Blue cap.. there's always spraying, which I did for some other critters.. But the smoky cockpit, now that might be a problem.

I don't think you could easily match the color of these caps, they're REALLY off the wall and unlike any i've seen previously. o-o

Okay, there might not be any like it in the new line, but laods of OR Zoids have the same colour (although I think Gore is the only otehr to have the same size).

Of course it's possible. All Yurei needs to do is either get another Zabre and hope its that Japanese version or use the TDP GS.
