Apparently the Hit Counter on my site wasn't working due to the fact that the website it was through (webcounter.com) was bought out and totally changed around, so I got a new Hit Counter. According to alexa.com my hit count is 1,063,192, so I tried resetting the counter to that but apparently it didn't work so I had to start over again, so let's get this baby back up to 1,063,192! -Phenotype

Hits mean nothing, 'tis unique visitors that count :p!
Do you ever look at phrases people find your site by? They can be quite funny...I think my favorite recent one is "nobody likes me everybody hates me worms".

Do you have any stats programs and the like with your hosting? The one I have is awstats, and it's got a bunch of fun info like that.

I used to but when Satai Matt upgraded to new servers the software was changed and I don't know how to access it now. I should ask him.... -Pheno

I too use AWstats - seems to be the most reliable. Webalizer works well too, but sometimes it over-counts. Xtreme tracker is useless and only charts around 1/8th of users.
If your hosting buddies can install cPanel X, it comes with a giant load of easy stat viewing options along with other handy stuff like hotlinking protection, cron jobs and all that. It's a nice setup if you're not big on the programming side of stuff (like me).
