Robostrux - HelicSmall Coilspring Zoids : Unnamed (Glidoler), Batlar, Reptex, Runna, Sekta, Slithor and Stunra
Powered and Battery Operated Zoids : Brutox, Badox, Terox and Fangz
Unnamed Zoid (Glidoler)Bird Type
Parts - 18
Caps - 10
Pilots - 1
Hardpoints - 3 (standard size)
Kit Overview - This model was available as a mail-away offer and came in an unmarked plastic bag rather than a box. Once wound up, it will roll forwards whilst rotating blips on the motor push the wings up and down. The feet also move in a ‘walking?movement, these are attached to the wheels via pegs.
Batlar (Geruder)Dinosaur Type
Parts - 19
Caps - 8
Pilots - 1
Hardpoints - 1 (standard size)
Kit Overview - Batlar shares many parts with Brox and utilises an interesting pop-out weaponry gimmick - if you slide the back lever forwards the tri-barrel laser will emerge through the head.
Reptex (Gator)Dinosaur Type
Parts - 18
Caps - 8
Pilots - 1
Hardpoints - 3 (standard size)
Kit Overview - Reptex is very basic yet it utilises an unusual walking mechanism similar to that of Stang's. The front right leg is connected solidly to the back left and the back right leg is connected to the front left, making for a surprisingly smooth walk. However, Reptex's only other feature is that its Gatling gun can be manually turned ?this tends to become loose over time to the point that it will no longer stay on securely.
Runna (Merda)Dinosaur Type
Parts - 17
Caps - 6
Pilots - 1
Hardpoints - 3 (standard size)
Kit Overview - Runna is a farly simple kit and doesn’t have much in the way of features but it comes with two interchangeable weapons, has a swift and well-balanced walk and looks good to boot. It’s a pity there’s not been a re-release.
Sekta (Spiker)Insect Type
Parts - 20
Caps - 12
Pilots - 1
Hardpoints - 4 (standard size)
Kit Overview - On first glance, you could be forgiven for thinking Sekta walks on its feet like other 4-legged Zoids. It doesn’t. Rather, it walks on the 4 grey ‘stilts?below the motor which the legs are attached to and can manage a fair pace. The upper body can be tilted forwards and back manually and the arms can be positioned.
Slithor (Malder)Insect Type
Parts - 25
Caps - 6
Pilots - 2
Hardpoints - 1 (standard size)
Kit Overview - Slithor is jam-packed full of gimmicks and features. As it rolls forwards, the shell tips back and forth and the head pokes in and out in a very snail-like motion whilst the side gun moves up and down. The front and side panels can also be manually opened - the side panel houses an extra pilot and fold-out gun whilst the front panel contains a feature unique among small Zoids - a firing missile launcher.
Stunra (Sinker)Insect Type
Parts - 28
Caps - 10
Pilots - 1
Hardpoints - 8 (standard size)
Motor - Small Coilspring
Kit Overview - Stunra is the only model in the Robostrux line to be capable of movement on water and is powered by a a small propeller under the tail which moves it along at a decent speed. A nice feature is the inclusion of a rudder - you can position it so that Stunra swims straight ahead or in circles.
In addition to the swimming movement, Stunra flaps its wings and has undercarriage wheels which allow it to travel on land.
Brutox (Redhorn)Dinosaur Type
Parts - 43
Caps - 16
Pilots - 3
Hardpoints - 11 (standard size)
Motor - 2AA Battery
Kit Overview - Once activated, Brutox will walk along at a fair pace whilst its mouth opens and closes and the front gun on its back rotates.
Badox (Iron Kong)Gorilla Type
Parts - 90
Caps - 27
Pilots - 3
Hardpoints - 8 (standard size)
Motor - 2AA + 2AA (lights)
Kit Overview - Badox is covered in moving parts and unique features. As it walks forwards, the head turns from side to side, the back missiles spin, the lights flash (providing the extra batteries are fitted) and the motor makes a mechanical growl at set intervals.
Badox comes with the same missile launcher that was originally used on the OER Gore and also comes with an additional sprue of weapons that no other version of Iron Kong has.
Terox (Gojulas)Dinosaur Type
Parts - 70
Caps - 43
Pilots - 1
Hardpoints - 11 (large size)
Motor - 2C + 2AA (lights)
Kit Overview - Flip the motor switch and Terox will walk forwards fairly slowly, move its arms up and down, turn its head left to right and open and close its mouth. The light feature works separately to the main motor; the switch is located on its backpack and when activated, a bulb in its head will flash to illuminate the eyes and mouth with a red blinking glow.
The tail of this Zoid is its weakest point and will readily snap off if given a sharp knock, so be careful.
Fangz (Shield Liger)Lion Type
- Picture for illustrative purposes only - colour of legs and body may differ -
Parts - 65
Caps - 25
Pilots - 1
Hardpoints - 10 (standard size)
Motor - 1AA Battery
Kit Overview - Once activated, Fangz will walk forwards and open and close its mouth. The head shields, missile pod 'arms' and tail can be manually positioned and there is also a fold-out weapon concealed on its back. Fangz is the rarest of the known Robo Strux models.
