Wow, that's supremely unexpected and... I suppose pretty cool? There's aspects of Attack on Titan I'm not a fan of, but it's still neat that Zoids gets a shout out from a creator behind such a popular manga/anime.

Attack on Titan is a good manga with a lot of uncomfortable ideas with disturbing real world parallels, especially for a Jewish person such as myself. I have been unable to finish it.

Just to be pedantic, it says that the unit which arms and services this Kyojin is called Panzer, not that the Liger Zero Panzer inspired it. It just said Zoids in general, which makes much more sense as this feels more like a Cannontortoise-inspired thing.

It is unfortunate that Japanese society, not entirely, are not much interested into looking the wrongs of the past, you are not going find many people speaking about the Rape of Nanking, the Korean "Comfort Women", the exploitation of POW and natives in the occupied lands during WWII... And there is unhealthy level of fetishism for 1930s-40s German fascism, you will see plenty of manga, anime, donjinshi... drawing inspiration from that period. Heck, even Zoids has plenty of German, and their names made more sense than the official "Engrush".

This thread is not to take on a political opinion arc; it is intended for random inquiries about the toy lines primarily and secondarily about the industry around those lines.
Please keep comments to those contexts.

Why are Proto Beast Liger and Wild Liger Kai model kits so expensive?

Aside from global limitations, adding painted details to mass production kits adds a fair amount to the price. Koto stated the painted Arashi figure to be one of the main reasons that the HMM Wild Liger was more expensive for what it was in terms of size/part count. Both of these Zoids have a fair amount of painted details to make them more accurate to the show. For example, Proto Beast Liger's many painted leg pipes and the Clive Dias Wild Liger having painted stripes and color separation.

Random Inquiry indeed! Does anyone offer repros or 3D files on the vintage soldier kits?? I have two or three originals, but I dont have the third set with the mech suit and hover podium. I really would like to fill out my human ranks more, but the only DX set I have seen recently went for over three hundred. Ouch!

Have you considered any of the various 1/72 scale military figure kits from Imex? Some of the WWII Allied and Axis sets may work fairly well. There's a 1/72nd scale German Mortar Team that if painted right wouldn't be out of the realm of being Imperial troops. I know I've seen folks do that with Gundam figs in my local build group... About 10 years ago Bandai put out a 1/144 scale human figurine kit for what I believe was Earth Federation/Zeon soldiers that may work as well, albeit they'll be too small.

I do have several sets of military soldiers as well. I just REALLY like the design of the armored soldier from the vintage DX kits. The Empire ones had armor that looks like something from Tolkien. I wish they had made some to go with the 1/24 kits as well. The Hmm kits would benefit some standing pilot figures too.

Next random inquiry....Is there anyone here who is Japanese/ English bilingual that can answer the Zoids Koto board??? I know they sent out some wild idea farming question out to the Zoiders, but it isnt in English. If they are looking for more ideas on HMM kits, I have some ideas using the existing kits!! I would love to see kits on the Shield Liger Commander version, the Geno Ritter, Liger Zero Caesar, Berserk Fuhrer Shadows Edge, the Genesis white Redler now it has been released, and maybe some of the larger kits done in the OJR colorways like Gojulas. Heck, some of these can just be CAS add on kits....

Is this the full Liger Zero X or JUST the armor? Amazon might be pulling a fast one on me because there were more pictures of this model kit before. and now there is just a static picture and the seperate armor. I cannot tell from the description if this is only the CAS or if it includes the base Liger Zero Kotobukiya Zoids: Liger Zero Empire Version X Unit Plastic Model Kit, Multicolor www.amazon.com/dp/B099HHXQQ8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_GY305NR9E1P2TESAQ9S1

That's why the price is so relatively low and the title says "X Unit". Also, in the "About this item" it reads:
