Plan: Fill in hollow Helcat legs. Stuff legs with clay. Put the legs in the oven.... Now I know plastic melts Now I dearly need 4 Helcat legs. Do you have spares? Help would be acutely appreciated!

Next time: boil them. You can boil sculpey and the plastic will be fine up to boiling temp. it just takes longer
Thankfully helcats are pretty cheap, I think you'll have little trouble finding one online

Still have to watch the heat... I attempted to dye some seismosaurus parts black once.... It worked! Mind you, the parts all melted out of shape, but it worked.

Lesson learned- no heat on plastics!

That's what happens sometimes when you try to modify a model kit. It is a very, very hard lesson learned. Sorry that I don't have any spare Helcats to help you out.
I know how it feels when you ruin a Zoid. I've done that quite a few times myself. *Looks at beloved Dibison with a dead motor.*

Sorry I don't have a Helcat to spare either, But lucky for you that's one of the more cheap kits out there for replacement parts. And JES...did you try to shock the battery? No I am not crazy. I managed to bring back a Techno Zoids Iron Kong by using two items: a 9V battery and small thin paper clips. Unwind the paper clips and wind one end on each battery terminal. Its quite hard to get the one on the negative side to stay put. I truly needed an extra set of hands but somehow managed. Anyway, take I took my Iron Kongs motor completely apart, then carefully put the other ends of the paper clips on the metal part left in the motor case- the motor itself. Specifically on the small copper wires leading from the motor to the battery contact points. Then flip your power switch on and off a few times. By the second time I flipped the switch to "on" I literally had sparks fly from the motor and it jerked to life. It also caused such a searing heat in the 9v battery that I dropped it immediately or have bad burns. It works!

No, a wire got disconnected while I was cleaning out the motor (which shouldn't've been doing anyways. Little did I know it was lubricant), and now part of the battery is covered in black stuff from trying to reattach the wire to the point where it snapped off. And I don't know how to solder wires, so it remains dead in effect.

That... sounds scary, Commandliger. And yet tempting. I swear zoids are the CARS of collectible model kits.. needing restoration, enginework, having 'classic' versions of models still being made..
